By tackling these key issues, we aim to create a solid foundation for a prosperous and self- sufficient Malawi.
Forex: Strengthening Malawi’s Currency
A stable and strong currency is essential for Malawi’s economic growth. AFORD will work to:
- Promote export- led growth
- Encourage foreign investment
- Implement prudent fiscal policies
Fuel: Energizing Malawi’s Economy
Reliable and affordable fuel is critical for Malawi’s economic development. AFORD will:
- Invest in renewable energy sources
- Improve fuel supply chain management
- Promote energy efficiency
Fertilizer: Boosting Agricultural Productivity
Fertilizer is a crucial input for Malawi’s agricultural sector. AFORD will:
- Increase fertilizer subsidies for smallholder farmers
- Promote sustainable agricultural practices
- Support local fertilizer production
Food: Ensuring Malawi’s Food Security
Food Security is a fundamental human right. AFORD will:
